Using Breakpoints

Debugging is important because it helps you understand how your program works, and how the machine runs your code.

Two large parts of debugging are breakpoints and looking at memory. You set breakpoints to read memory.

Visual Studio Code

To create a breakpoint in VSCode, click immediately to the left of the line number where you want to set the breakpoint. A red circle should now appear. You can also use the F9 key. In the VSCode debug menu you can manage your breakpoints.
